Lecture Recitals

Lecture recitals are a great format to not only inform, but open ears and minds. Comprising of demonstrations, narrations as well as a full performance of a key work, the lecture offers a full immersion into the work/composer at study.

Lecture recitals offer a more accessible route into classical music, demystifying the sometimes complicated terminology and exposing the very human essence of most music.

In align with the current GCSE syllabus, a lecture recital has been devised on the first momvement of Beethoven Sonata Pathetique. Students and teachers alike have commented on the captivating quality inspiring for students. The lecture covers all requirements of the syllabus in addition to performances which contextualise the work.
